been with the group since its inception in 2014 and has extensive experience as an executive
director for a number of companies across the Success Group in sectors ranging from health
and wellness, manufacturing and wholesaling.
With extensive exposure to the property market from a very young age, his vision for AMAFHH
Investments is to procure and develop unique prime real estate, both commercial and
residential within key locations.
Having established a strong footing within the commercial retail sector, Laith is the driving
force behind the company’s success and rapid expansion. He now oversees and successfully

Mohammed Al Bayati’s role as Head of Operations encompasses more than the day-to-day

As Operations Manager and Chief Assistant to the Head of Operations, his role is crucial in
assisting and propelling AMAFHH Investment's development goals.
Working closely with the CEO and Head of Operations, his role ensures the smooth running of
AMAFHH Investments projects.
From an early age, his entrepreneurial outlook has enabled him to assist the growth of a real
estate investment portfolio and accumulate an array of experience in the retail sector. Upon
completing his BSc and MSc in Politics and International Relations, he went on to hold
prominent positions in both the governmental and cybersecurity industries, overseeing high
profile projects. His desire for success and analytical approach has enabled him to thrive
and flourish in various fields, with a commitment to managing the groups operational
requirements and vision.

During the past 28 years Emad has worked extensively in construction management, been
involved in the refurbishment and development of all types of buildings, working in the
private and public sectors. He specialised in old and large buildings and projects.
He strongly believes that in order to achieve a successful project, one must have a good
project team with strong leadership and smart coordination of available resources together
with honest commitments, clearly defined objectives and shared responsibility all being
important factors in producing top projects.
His involvement with the AMAFHH team has been very insightful and he strongly believes in the
capability of the CEO’s vision and leadership qualities.
Saad Karim is a founding partner in 5K Investments, a London-based property investment firm,
and has recently partnered with AMAFHH Investments as a director on their board to deliver
Phoenix Village, Bradford.
Saad's interest in property and investments has always been his main driving force. As an
Investment Consultant, Saad Karim promotes the financial interests of AMAFHH through
recognising suitable business opportunities and secure investments. Saad has a very close
working relationship with the Head of Operations, where they work to fulfil the legal
obligations of the company.
Saad is also a qualified lawyer with Higher Rights of Audience in London, specialising in
Civil Litigation, Corporate and Commercial Law. Before this, Saad was an Investment Banker
at a Global Bank in London, specialising in Corporate Capital Origination and Corporate
Restructuring, dealing with FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 clients.
Director of Communications & Sustainability
Haidar Nasralla is a founding partner in 5K Investments, an independent London-based property
investment firm, which has recently embarked on a joint venture with AMAFHH Investments to
deliver Phoenix Village Bradford.
As Communications & Sustainability consultant, and a director on the board, Haidar will aid
AMAFHH to keep their brand top of mind and interpret statistical information for various
projects, assisting the company’s aspirations to implement sustainable developments. Haidar
has a very close working relationship with the CEO, where their aligned vision allows them
to focus their energies and engage in the transformation of practice.
Haidar is also a biomedical scientist and philanthropist. He is an alumnus of the University
of London. His principle philanthropist interests have included interfaith relations and
conflict resolution. Haidar’s interest in the property sector began when he worked and
supported his father, who is a prolific Middle Eastern entrepreneur, obtaining invaluable
insight in the property investment world.
Regional Manager – North West London
With extensive experience in retail and project management gained from previous roles with
the KGGC Group in Iraq between 2007-2010 as well the Success Group in the United Kingdom
between 2011-2017 Ihab has proved to be an invaluable asset to any team. His core strengths
in management and operations
has ensured the fulfilment of many projects.
He is the latest member of the Success Group to migrate from the retail business portfolio to
the international management team having established his credentials in delivering projects
in the Iraq region.
Currently Ihab is working closely with the other members of the team on exciting projects
within that region.
Lead Project Manager
Prof. Mustafa Alshawi is AMAFHH Investments’ Lead Project Manager, currently working closely
with the project delivery team to bring forth Clarges St., a 59-unit residential
development, and Phoenix Village, a 420 unit residential development with commercial
aspects. Prof. Mustafa's attention to detail and expertise ensures the smooth delivery of
these exciting developments.
Prof. Mustafa is the Managing Director of Unisearch and has over 30 years of experience in
introducing innovative technologies to enhance the construction industry's performance. His
extensive knowledge of BIM and IPD has enabled Prof. Alshawi to implement these techniques
on large scale construction projects valued at £540m in the UAE. Prof. Alshawi and his team
have demonstrated the vast benefits of utilizing these technologies to reduce construction
time and cost for his clients.
Prof. Mustafa research was received the International Award from Bentley in 2013, and more
recently from the RICS (London); the BIM4SME (2015) award for "Best Engagement and Support
Programme for BIM implementation in client organizations". Prof Alshawi was previously the
Director of the Build and Human Environment Research Institute at the University of Salford
(The highest-ranked UK Institute in the Built Environment). He was also the Editor in Chief
of the international journal of "Construction Innovation" and the author of over 130
publications. Professor Alshawi has first demonstrated the concept of "BIM" in 1996 in a
fully working prototype and worked with major companies to develop its standards.
Head of Business Strategy Development
Ronald Laser is a founding partner in David Menzies Associates, an independent Central London
firm of property managing agents that have been advising clients since 1976. Ronald deals
with all aspects of commercial property consultancy.
Amongst many client care activities Ronald Laser has assisted greatly in the acquisitions of
AMAFHH Investments and has a very close working relationship with the CEO having acquired
many properties together.
Ronalds foresight and experience allowed him to have full belief in the young CEO’s
endeavours in the property market and marking Laiths potential from the early age of 17
years old. Throughout his long-standing career, Ronald has acquired properties in excess of
10 million sq. ft.

and has supported Laith in his endeavours in the property market. Throughout his

Chartered Quantity Surveyor & Project Manager
In 1990 Mark joined Rainey & Best as a Junior Quantity Surveyor after graduating from the
University of Ulster with a First-Class Honours degree and top of his academic year. In 1995
he was appointed as an Associate and in 1999, he was made Partner of the firm.
Mark has a wealth of experience both as a quantity surveyor and as a project manager. He has
worked on a range of projects in live and unpredictable operational environments. The
procurement routes have included design and build, develop and construct two stage,
traditional lump sum methods, schedule of rates and prime contracting/ partnering.
Mark has particular experience and expertise in contract advice and the management of highly
complex fast track projects. Contract values have included works in excess of £150milion.
Head of Planning
Justin is one of the founding Directors of Contour Planning. He has over 30 years private
sector experience providing clients with commercial planning advice on all types of land
Justin has a broad and diverse range of planning experience, with a focus on providing high
level strategic advice to assist clients unlock the development potential of land, as well
as in relation to the submission of planning applications and portfolio reviews. Whilst he
has advised on a wide variety of planning issues, he has particular expertise in retail,
residential and complex mixed-use developments.
Justin’s commercial approach enables him to provide clients with expert strategic and
practical planning advice. He is a skilled project manager, who regularly manages large
multi-disciplinary teams working to tight timescales.
In addition to co-ordinating and submitting planning applications, Justin has a wealth of
experience promoting developments through the development plan process, giving expert
evidence at public inquiries, dealing with planning enforcement matters, as well as the
production of technical material in support of schemes, including Planning Statements,
Retail and Leisure Assessments, Design Access Statements, Statements of Community
Involvement and the production and co-ordination of Environmental Impact Assessments.
Karen is the founding Director of Contour Planning. She has over 30 years’ experience in the
private sector advising a wide range of clients.
Karen has considerable experience in project managing a wide range of planning applications
including complex mixed-use and residential developments. She also has extensive experience
in development projects, portfolio reviews, environmental impact assessments, promoting
strategic sites through the development plan process, local plan representations, retail
assessments, affordable housing negotiations and general development control issues. Karen
is also an experienced expert planning witness.
Karen regularly advises developers, investors and individuals in all aspects of the planning
process. Whilst her knowledge and experience of all types of developments is broad, Karen
has extensive experience in residential and retail projects, ranging from small-scale
development through to major projects on behalf of developers and volume housebuilders.
Karen is personable and professional - both of which are skills which enable her to develop
strong working relationships and manage large project teams to ensure that the projects she
is involved in are successfully concluded in a timely and efficient manner.
John is Principal of TODD Architects London office, engaged in promoting business development
and project implementation in London and the UK.
He has over thirty years’ experience as an architect leading the design on projects in the
UK and Continental Europe.

design, Retail Architecture, Hospitality, Leisure, Showrooms, Education and Workplace.
John also provides architectural advice as design champion and solutions management for both
the public and private sectors and is a member of Wandsworth Council Design Review Panel
Peter is a director of Todd architects, our lead designers on the Staples Corner project.
His company is included within the Architects Journal’s list of top 100 UK practices and
they have completed many award-winning buildings, including the internationally acclaimed
iconic Titanic Belfast.
Peter has some 28 years’ experience in the profession and has successfully delivered major
projects across a broad range of sectors.
He is particularly skilled in the commercial sphere and in multi-storey mixed-use
developments of a similar nature and scale to the project.
Stephen joined TODD Architects from University and gained his professional qualifications
with the practice. He has worked across a variety of sectors and his role has entailed high
level feasibility studies, outline and concept design, detailed and technical design, site
and contract administration. His area of expertise and focus is within our commercial and
residential sectors. He is, and has been, involved in some of Northern Ireland’s most
exciting developments. With a sense of commercial awareness Stephen is entrusted to take the
lead on a number of high profile projects - the scale, complexity and timescale of which are
unlikely to compare to other young Architects.
Stephen is an incredibly talented young Architect who is an early adopter of modern
technologies. His graphical and presentation skills are exemplary and he is currently
leading the practice’s adoption of AR and VR technologies. With the industry wide adoption
of BIM these technologies are a beneficial offshoot of digital model building which can

Head of Transport Planning
Julian is a civil engineer and transport planner with more than 25 years experience examining
the transport infrastructure and highway requirements arising from the development of land,
delivering optimal, cost effective and innovative solutions to today’s transport planning
challenges. During his career, he has advised upon major urban residential extension
proposals and new settlements, mixed use proposals including, offices, industrial land and
sports and leisure proposals..
He is experienced in the development of transport strategies to secure the allocation of land
in emerging development plan documents and on the transport input to support planning
applications. Examining the transport and accessibility requirements for the development of
land is a key theme running through current transport planning policy and Julian works
closely with our multi-disciplinary team and advises on the internal layouts of sites and
land uses, advising on matters such as servicing management, car park management and on the
management of travel demand.
Julian regularly leads discussions on the levels of acceptable and appropriate transport
contributions, mitigation measures and associated infrastructure arising from our proposals
and leads on the production of Transport Assessments / Statements and the requirements for
Julian has appeared as an expert witness in public inquires informal hearings and provided
written evidence when appropriate
Ian is a civil transport planner with 16 years’ experience of assessing the transport
infrastructure and highway requirements arising from the development of land. He has a broad
knowledge of development planning and is experienced in the preparation and management of
Transport Assessments and Travel Plans. He has worked on a variety of both large and small
projects including residential, retail, education and leisure proposals.
During his career, he has gained considerable knowledge on assessing the impact of
developments on all modes of transport and has considerable experience in the development of
Travel Plans and sustainable transport measures. In assessing the highway impact of
development he has gained a high degree of technical expertise and has worked on many large
scale modelling projects to determine the impact of developments on the local highway
He is experienced in the development the transport input to support planning applications and
on developing the internal layouts of sites and land use. He has also gained experience in
areas such as the development of servicing management plans and construction management
Ian has project managed many schemes and has experience with negotiating the acceptability of
developments with highways officers and developing mitigation measures to offset the impacts
Senior Project Manager
A graduate of Westminster University, Charles has an impressive legal pedigree having
completed an MSc in Construction Law and a LL.Dip (Graduate Diploma in Law). He is a
chartered surveyor, joining BTP in 1995 and becoming an equity Director in 2005.
His experience is broad, covering new build and refurbishment works including residential,
commercial, hotel, retail, faith, education and social care projects.
Kevin is a Project Manager with Cost Consultancy experience. He achieved his FRICS status in
1995 and has been leading and managing high profile developments and projects since then.
Kevin holds an MBA in Construction and Real Estate and a Diploma in Project Management from
Reading University and has been a Director of BTP since 1995. Kevin’s experience is broad,
covering new build and refurbishment works including residential, hotel, office, industrial,
mixed use and retail. We are especially proud of our involvement in the AMAFHH projects.
Andrew is an international award winning landscape designer and horticulturist. He is a
Chartered Landscape Architect and Masterplanner with experience designing and delivering
inspirational landscapes all over the world.
His portfolio of work includes luxury residential and hospitality schemes in Mauritius,
Spain, Malta, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Denmark. Most recently Andrew was involved in
delivering the landscape for the award winning Park Hyatt Mallorca resort, the first of its
kind in Europe.
Andrews’ approach to design combines creativity with technical rigour to deliver high
quality landscapes. He achieves this via a process of collaborative working, strategic
thinking and a desire to discover and amplify the narrative for every project.
National Planning Specialist
National Head of Planning and Infrastructure Consenting at Eversheds Sutherland
Stuart is a specialist planning lawyer and leads the National Planning Team at Eversheds LLP.
He is a dual qualified town planner and solicitor and is both a member of the Royal Town
Planning Institute and the Law Society Planning Panel.
His experience includes major town centre schemes, large urban regeneration projects and
strategic residential development proposals. He has particular expertise in the promotion of
redevelopment projects involving complex compulsory purchase orders, substantial highway
orders and associated environmental assessment. This experience has involved the conduct of
major development projects through application, appeal and other proceedings. Stuart is an
experienced advocate and has extensive experience in the negotiation and drafting of complex
planning agreements. He also has considerable experience of all aspects of appeal court
proceedings, including judicial review.
His recent experience includes advising in connection with the Section 106 Agreement required
for the £1.4bn regeneration of Elephant and Castle, the promotion of an outline planning
application scheme for the redevelopment of the former RAF Uxbridge site, the redevelopment
of Twickenham Station, the conduct of conjoined appeal proceedings in connection with
proposed urban extensions to Daventry totalling some 10,000 dwellings and advising on the
proposed sustainable urban extension of some 5,500 houses to the south east of Milton
Stuart is described in Chambers as being singled out for combining "outstanding legal and
commercial good sense with an approachable manner" and by competitors as "… one of the
people I would least like to see on the other side at an Inquiry". He is consistently listed
in the top 5 planning lawyers in the UK by Planning magazine.

Partner, Lee Jackson sits within Eversheds Sutherland’s global real estate practice, based in
London. He advises domestic and inward investors on big ticket transactions across all asset

Russell has enjoyed a wide variety of projects over the last 30 years, with a particular

restricted programmes and budgets. He is also a member of the sustainability committee for

Chris is a recent addition to the Caldwell team and heads up Caldwell’s London and South East
regional activities. He graduated with an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from UCL in 2005 and
has gained valuable experience on all aspects of consultancy in over 12 years of working on
many large–scale projects for blue chip clients such as Whitbread and Unite. His extensive
client–side consulting experience has seen him take numerous projects from conceptual
design, through planning to construction and completion. He has delivered many successful
projects in a lead role on new build, refurbishment, conversion and extension hotel and
residential schemes as well as other mixed use projects.
His highlights include working on the design team to develop the Hub by Premier Inn bedroom
concept and successfully delivering the first £120m mixed use scheme in Bristol and
delivering Phase 1 of the project.
Historical Buildings specialist
Graduated from the University of Bath in 1981 and joined the practice in 1982. He has been
closely involved in projects involving Listed Buildings, their refurbishment and
conservation. He also provides consultancy advice on large scale projects which impact upon
the historic environment and urban design, often working with other architects. Where
necessary, he gives evidence at Planning Inquiries and in Court.
